Helen Elizabeth Fie age 87 of Orange City went to her heavenly reward on Saturday January 8 2011. A funeral mass in her honor will be held on Friday January 14 2011; 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church 421 W. New York Ave. Deland followed by and interment at Oakdale Cemetery. A 5:00 viewing till a 6:30 prayer service will be held Thursday at the Deland chapel of the Lohman Funeral Homes. Helen was born in Perth Amboy New Jersey to William and Catherine Francy. She was an accomplished woman who reached the position of Vice President of Human Resources for the now JP Morgan Bank. She came to Florida about 16 years ago following her retirement and devoted her energies to St. Peter Catholic Church fulfilling needs in the CCW Ministry to the Sick the gift shop the Bereavement Committee and any other place she could provide assistance. She will best be remembered as an organized business professional that worked hard loved our Lord and lived for her family and friends. Her son Richard M. Fie and 6 siblings preceded her in death and she leaves behind to cherish her memory a son John Daniel Fie Jr. and his wife Anna 2 sisters: Elizabeth Cullen and Theresa Steinborn 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Deland.
