Helen G. Fatula 96 loving mother grandmother great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away on June 1 2010. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Helen was born in Elmira New York on March 23 1914. In her early 20's she married her late husband Joseph to who she spent 70 wonderful years with. She spent most of her younger years raising five children and later worked in a hospital lab prior to relocating to Orlando in 1968. In 1989 she and Joe moved to Oak Hill FL. After Joe's death in 2003 she became a member of Grace Fellowship Church of the Nazarene in Oak Hill and was the oldest member in the church's history. She had a deep affection for animals and during her earlier years managed the Cornell Dog Farm in Ithaca New York with her husband where they worked with over 300 dogs for nutritional testing. Helen also enjoyed crocheting and camping however her greatest passion was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her son and daughter-in-law's dog Rusty who visited her daily at the nursing home. She will be remembered most for her deep love and devotion to her family. Helen is survived by sons; Joseph (Frances) Fatula of South Carolina Robert (Linda) Fatula of Oak Hill FL Donald (Mary) Fatula of Orlando FL William (Darlene) of Edgewater FL; daughter Nancy (Thomas) Morgan of Elmira NY; 17 grandchildren numerous great-grandchildren several great-great grandchildren and pets Rusty Maggie. She was preceded in death by her brother Phil sisters Mazie and Charlotte and her cat Mollie. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Grace Fellowship Church of the Nazarene 480 N.
