Helen Marie Ballou

October 10, 1932 – June 3, 2022

Helen Marie Ballou, of Ormond Beach, F L, 89, passed away on June 3, 2022 , surrounded by her children, at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center. She was born October 10,1932 in Farmville, VA to Eula and Mathew Caudle.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, long term member of St. Paul Luther an Church in Catonsville, MD and currently attended First United Methodist Church in Ormond Beach, FL. , and was an active member in her Ocean Villas community.

Helen was known for her radiant smil e and positive outlook on life. She loved spending time with her family, volunteering , traveling, cooking and entertaining.

Survivors include her child ren , Douglas Ballou & wife Sharon of Manchester, MD, Jo Anne O'Brien & husban d Don of Westminster, MD , Diane Hurst & husband Charlie of Huntersville, NC . G randchildren ; Sean & fiancé , Kendall, Justin & wif e Amber, Kristen, Chris topher & Matthew and 6 great grandchildren. S iblings : Thelma Wilmouth , Shirley Hicks, Peggy Bentley , and Geneva Orange.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ballou, Jr. and her siblings: Ray Caudle, Lee Caudle, and Melvin Caudle , Rose Wray, and Annie Caudle.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall in Maryland and a small service in Ormond B each in early 2023.
