Helen Adams founder of Adams Cameron & Co. which would evolve to become the largest real estate firm in the Volusia/Flagler County area died peacefully in her sleep January 26th. She had just celebrated her 87th birthday with friends and family.

Helen was a past president of the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors a Realtor Emeritus and a past Realtor of the Year. She ia a former recipient of the Realtor's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Helen was very active in her community. She was a recipient of the "Boss of the Year" award by the Women's Business and Professional Association of Volusia County. She was a former president of the American Cancer Society of East Volusia County. She was once appointed to the Governor's Task Force against drug abuse. She served on the finance committee at St. James Episcopal Church where she was a long time parishioner.

Helen was a long time member of both the Halifax River Yacht Club and Oceanside Country Club. She and her husband Jack have enjoyed many occasions to entertain family and friends in their home. Jack and Helen had a passion for traveling and were fortunate to see most of the globe and returned on more than one occasion to her favorite location lake Como Italy.

She is survived by her husband Jack of 71 years her son Robert (Ryan) Adams Ormond Beach her daughter Jacqueline A. (William) Boggs Ponte Vedra Beach FL sister Kay Goerke Port Orange FL seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. James Episcopal Church 38 S. Halifax Drive Ormond Beach on Tuesday January 29th at 3:00 pm. The family has requested the memorial contributions be made in Helen memory to the American Cancer Society 1737 North Clyde Morris Blvd. Suite 140 Daytona Beach FL 32117.
