Funeral Services for Haskell Arrington Jr. who passed away on Monday July 18 2011 will be held on Thursday July 21st at 11:30 am in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with Pastor Cliff Smith officiating. His family will receive friends from 10:30am-11:30am preceding the service. A reception will be held after the service also at the funeral home followed by interment. Mr. Arrington was born in Lawrence County Kentucky. He was a graduate of Louisa High School where he met and married his childhood sweetheart Janet. He owned and operated his family's farm Arrington Acres a poultry farm. He then moved to Columbus Ohio and worked for Westinghouse. He also worked as a Boilermaker. He and his wife returned to Kentucky then later moved to the Daytona Beach area. Haskell worked at the Daytona 500 International Speedway and then at the Daytona Beach News Journal working his way up to Circulation Manager. He retired after 25 years of service. He loved NASCAR the University of Kentucky "Wildcat" Basketball and spending time with his grandchildren. Truly his grandchildren were his greatest joy and he spent countless hours with them. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Janet his two daughters Carole (Richard "Chip") Oglesby of Jacksonville FL and Renita (Richard) Kershaw of Ormond Beach FL his four grandchildren Spencer & Stuart Kershaw and Trevor & Libby Oglesby his two sisters Delores Setliff of Reynoldsburg OH and Ann Kiger of Washington Courthouse OH and his sister -in-law Judy (Bob) Bayes of Grayson KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters Linda Lehman and Brooksie Call.
