Harvey L. Mais, 84, a resident of Palm Coast, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2017 at Stuart F. Myer Hospice House in Palm Coast, Fl.
Harvey was born in Long Island, New York and moved to Port Orange when he was 4 years old. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. Following his military service, Harvey began working at Florida Power & Light, a career that would span more than 35 years. Following the death of his beloved wife Joan, Harvey moved to Palm Coast in 2000, and became a member of the Palm Coast Moose Lodge. He loved to go on cruises with his good friends in Palm Coast, and as an avid dancer, attended many dances at both the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club. Harvey was predeceased by his loving wife Joan Mais and his two sons, Danny & Darrell Mais. He is survived by his daughter Susan Pauly, his son Greg Mais, 6 grandchildren (Jennifer, Nicole, Lauren, Gregory, Melissa & Heather), 4 great grandchildren (Emmett, Wes, Danny & Emily) and his good friend Constance Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Harvey's name to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House of Palm Coast.
Arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home of Daytona Beach. At the family's request funeral services will be held privately at a later date. You may leave condolences for the family here on the website.
