HARRY EDWARD HEILMAN passed away on December 29 ^th ,2021 at his Ormond Beach home. He was born in the Fineview area of Pittsburgh, Pa. To Harry & Mildred Heilman. Harry prepared for a career by attending Perry Traditional Academy, The University of Pittsburgh, and the New York Institute of Finance. He took the first proctored exam to become a Registered Representative of the New York Stock Exchange and accepted a position at Hemphill, Noyes, Hornblower, Weeks at the age of 21. During the Vietnam Conflict, he was inducted into the U.S. Army's 11 ^th Air Assault Division, a helicopter warfare division where he developed a love of flying. He was a licensed pilot and owned a Cessna 182 for many years. After being discharged he settled in Daytona Beach and worked for Thomson & McKinnon before taking a position as a VP at Merrill, Lynch. He retired in 1999 at the age of 59 saying "I had a good financial advisor." Harry served on numerous boards and committees including: Daytona Beach Board of Adjustment, President of Daytona Jaycees, Officer, Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce, Director Family Welfare Association, Daytona Beach Lodge No. 270 F&AM, Director Mental Health Association, Daytona Biracial Committee. Vice President Halifax Young Democrats, Daytona Citizens Housing Committee. Board of Council on Aging and the one he was very proud of: The Daytona International Speedways Checkered Flag Committee. He is predeceased in death by his lovely wife, Sharon. He is survived by his three sons, Nick, Joe, and Clay.
