Harriet A. Dorsey, 82 of Winter Haven, Florida, died, December 12, 2014 at her home, after a courageous battle with blood cancer. A Service of Remembrance will be held on February 7, 2015 at 10:00 am at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, FL.

She was born June 14, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Elmer and Agnes (Clausius) Harper. Harriet was a retired Production Manager with Motorola. She earned her Associate Degree from the University of Chicago. She always loved being with family, enjoyed visiting Florida's west coast beaches, and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by her husband, Robert B. Dorsey of Winter Haven, by her children, Stanley Ted Glowacz, Susan Marie Gonzalez, Sharon Rose Polivka, and Steven John Glowacz, her daughters-in-law, Judith Stella Glowacz and Patricia Ann Glowacz, her sons-in-law, Paul Joseph Gonzalez and Richard Carl Polivka, as well as six grandchildren, Heather Andrea Glowacz, Kelly Ann Polivka, Kevin Michael Glowacz, Shannon Marie Glowacz, Cory Patrick Glowacz, and Shawn Anthony Glowacz, by two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Cameron, and Justin William Glowacz, two step-sons, Robert M. Dorsey, and Kenneth B. Dorsey, two step-daughters-in-law, Susan Marie Dorsey, and Trina Laura Dorsey, as well as three step-grandchildren, Alexander Daniel Dorsey, Ashley Lynne Dorsey, and Benjamin Michael Dorsey. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters.
