Harold Lee Seerveld, M.D.

Was born June 17,1933, 85, years old of Daytona Beach Shores, FL, went to be with the Lord February 9, 2019. Memorial service to be held on July 8, 2019 at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church at 11:30 am. 10150 E. Belleview Ave. Englewood, CO. 80111

Harold (Hal) was born in Islip, N.Y. He attended High school in Sayville, NY and graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, M.I. Marguerite Stepat and Harold were married August 10, 1955. Harold served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. His military service brought them to Colorado. After his service he attended the University of Colorado Graduate School for a Masters in Biology, but changed his goal and got his M.D. Degree from the University of Colorado Medical School. He did his residency at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado and opened a private OB/GYN practice in Lakewood, CO. During his practice he delivered 5,200 babies, 25 sets of twins, and 2 sets of triplets. He retired in 1996.

Hal will be remembered for his love of music, gardening and anything that pertained to being out in the sunshine. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was also an integral part of The Bethany House, Bethesda Hospital and of the founding of Quiet Waters Ministry.

He is survived by his wife Sally, three sons and their wives, Jonathan(Cindy)Seerveld, Chris (Teresa) Seerveld, Matthew (Julia) Seerveld and daughter Jennifer (Mark) Haack and two brothers Calvin and Wesley. Grandchildren: Sherry, Jeremiah ,Logan, Kisa, Ethan, Kaylee and Khloe. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marguerite(Peggy), brother, Richard and sister Joyce.
