Harold Everett Mullings 86 of Palm Coast Florida passed away on November 2 2012 after a lengthy illness.

Harold was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. After graduating high school he attended Cooper Union College in NYC where he received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by the City of NY Department of Environmental Protection as a Mechanical Engineer Project Manager for 35 years of outstanding service before retiring in 1990. Harold proudly served as a Tuskegee Airman in the United States Army/Air Force. Harold married Muriel Valerie Taylor. They became the proud parents of Christopher Kimberly Lisa Gina and Anthony (deceased).

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Adolphus and Anna Mullings sister Natalie and son Anthony. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Muriel of Palm Coast son Christopher and his wife April of NY daughters Kimberly and her husband Michael of NY Lisa of NY and Gina and her husband Troy of SC. Harold was also the loving grandfather to his 3 grandchildren Gabrielle Indigo and Hudson. He is also survived by an uncle niece and several cousins and many friends.

After retiring Harold and Muriel relocated from Roosevelt Island NY to Palm Coast FL in 1991. Here he was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church the NAACP Omega Psi Phi fraternity Afro-American Caribbean Heritage organization the Tuskegee Airman General Chappie James Chapter Air Force Association the Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Soaring Society of America. Harold enjoyed quiet time building model airplanes and reading. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his beloved family.

Family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday November 6 2012 at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW Palm Coast. On Wednesday November 7 2012 a visitation will be held from 9 am until 10 am at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial interment to follow at Jacksonville Military National Cemetery.

Donations in Harold's name may be made to the NAACP and Tuskegee Airman Scholarship Fund. Condolences may be shared with the family through this online guestbook.
