Harold Franklin Morrison, 92, passed away peacefully at home on September 16, 2024, in Port Orange, Fl.
Born in Barboursville, West Virginia , to Joseph and Zora Morrison. Preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Morrison and sister, Mary Fleming. His loving wife , Anna Mae Morrison, of 51 years, also preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons, Harold Dimond and Douglas Dimond, and daughter, Teresa Morrison, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harold is a Navy Veteran of the Korean war. After serving 4 years in the Navy, he became a crane operator at Armco Steel Corporation in Ashland, Kentucky, where he worked 35 years . Upon retirement, he and Anna Mae relocated to Port Orange, Florida . Harold became employed at Wal-Mart in Port Orange, as a bicycle assembler and also worked in housewares and enjoyed being a greeter. Harold was employed by Wal-Mart for 33 years and retired in 2023 due to health reasons. He loved his job at Wal-Mart and he loved people.
Harold loved his family deeply and his "grandcat" , Boo. He had a deep love for God . His favorite scripture was John 3:16. He loved coffee, Gospel music and country music. Willie Nelson was his favorite country singer. Harold was well known for his western attire, always sharp dressed in jeans, western boots and sporting a western hat ( his 32 Beaver black Stetson being his favorite) .
He will be remembered for his kindness, love for others and his sense of humor. He was notorious for sneaking up behind people and scaring them.
Harold lived out his faith in God and love for God. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him .
