Harold Royce Jones age 82 of New Smyrna Beach passed away on Saturday June 12 2010. A memorial service in his honor will be held on Wednesday June 16 2010; 4:00PM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately at Daytona Memorial Park.
Harold was born in New Smyrna Beach to Oliver and Essie Jones he worked hard all his life beginning as a ditch digger and retired from his career as the overseer for the City of New Smyrna Beach Road Commit ion. In his youth riding horses and hunting brought him much joy but as he settled in his life he enjoyed fishing taking care of his ever-growing vegetable garden and Barbequing for all of his family and friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 62 years; Mildred 3 sons Stephen (Cathy) Jones Bruce (Ann) Jones and Mark Jones 2 daughters: Pia (Phil) Schaefer and Angela McGinnis a sister Joyce Huskey 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and every one who has ever been bless to have met him. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
