Harold R. Fowler 84 of Palm Coast passed away Thursday June 4 2009. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday June 8th from 2-4PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 4PM. Burial will follow in North Miami on Tuesday. Upon graduation from High School Harold went on to serve his nation in WWII in the Navy. Upon his return home he went on to become a master carpenter and builder. He and his father were the ones who did the finishing work on the famed Hialeah Race Track. Being a top cabinet maker he worked on yachts boats and built numerous warehouses. He moved to Atlanta where he worked in the Physical Plant for Georgia Tech. He and his beloved wife of 32 years Beverly then moved to Palm Coast 13 years ago whereupon he built his own home. He is pre-deceased by wife Elizabeth Ruth Fowler and daughter Betty Lynn Fowler but is survived by son Harold (June) of Atlantic Beach Fl. step sons Harry Bailey (Carolyn) of Cumming Ga. Dave Bailey of Palm Coast and Dennis Bailey of Tucker Ga. grandchildren Harold III Craig Nelson and Colleen Marie. and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stuart Meyer Hospice House.
