Harold ""Bud"" Confer age 83 passed away October 22 2011. A gathering in his honor will be held on Wednesday October 26th from 7:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M with a prayer service beginning at 7:45 P.M at Cardwell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at Church of the Epiphany in Port Orange on Thursday October 27th at 11:00 A.M. He was the beloved Husband of Beatrice for 43 wonderful years. Harold leaves behind his darling daughter Darlene (Kevin) Daugherty; his sister Shirley Mae Perry; his best friend and brother-in-law Dennis Hamel; family friend Jody Tague; and many nieces and nephews. Harold also leaves behind his grandchildren dearest Meghan (David) Leibfreund and Kevin ""Brad"" (Alicia) Daugherty. He was a very proud veteran of the United States Air Force Marines and Navy. Harold lived in Las Vegas for a number of years working as the food and beverage director for Hilton Hotels. On several occasions he has personally served as chef for; Dwight D. Eisenhower General George Patton and General MacArthur. He was a devoted parishioner at Epiphany Catholic Church the American Legion TREA (The Retired Enlisted Association). Harold was known for his kind compassionate and loving personality and he will be deeply missed. Arrangements are under the entrusted care of Cardwell Funeral Home.
