Gwen M. Ball 85 Holly Hill died Wednesday Feb. 9 2005 in Holly Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert DeRoss with whom she owned and operated the Sage ?N- Sand motel in Daytona Beach Shores. Mr DeRoss died in 1975.. She was also preceded by her husband Russell Ball in 2004. Gwen was born January 31 1920 in Cambridge Springs Pa. the daughter of the late Ray and Lura Smith Brink. Mrs. Ball came to this area in 1951 from Meadville Pa. Gwen was a former city councilwoman in Daytona Beach Shores. She is survived by Son: Bob DeRoss of New Smyrna Beach Daughters: Patricia A. Stevens and husband Al of Ponte Vedra Beach Kathy Buschman and husband Al of Ormond Beach Christy Robbins and husband Pickie of Ormond Beach. Grandchildren: Kathy Pogacnik and husband Michael Ted Buschman Greg Staton and wife Yvette Kenneth Staton Rob DeRoss and wife Barbie Tiffany Hardy and husband Micah. Great- Grandchildren: Summer Stevens Haleck and Nesicha Pogacnik Gregory Conner and Trevor Staton Micahala and Shane Hardy Garrett Cameron and Haley DeRoss.
