Gustave F. Verrone. 90 of Palm Coast passed away March 13 2013. A Visitation in his honor will be held Sunday March 17 2013 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm with Prayer Service at 2pm at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Funeral Service will be Monday March 18 2013 at 11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy Palm Coast.
Gus was born in New York City NY to Frank and Sebastiana Verrone. Gus graduated from Monroe High School in NYC in 1940. He proudly served his country in the US Army in WWII in the Philippines. Gus earned the American Service Medal the Good Conduct Medal Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. After service Gus attended NYU. He was employed as an Administrator in the Dental School for NYU and Colombia University in NY.
Gus fell in love and married Iris his wife for 63 years. They retired and moved from Yonkers NY to Palm Coast FL in 1993. Gus was a member of the Sons of Italy. He will be remembered for living life to the fullest. Family and friends were his greatest passion.
Gus will be sadly missed by his loving wife Iris of Palm Coast his brother Louis Verrone of Ormond Beach his sister Madeline Mangiamele of Monroe NY and numerous loving nieces nephews cousins and friends.
