With hearts filled with sadness, we announce the passing of Grant Reed-Hudson (55). He was an amazing son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Grant was born in Pennsylvania on April 20,1958 to Grant and Althea Hudson. After a wonderful childhood in Norristown, PA, Grant attended the University of Virginia where he played football. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1980, but after a knee injury in 1982, Grant had to give up the game he loved so much. Grant earned his
MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988, and went on to work for several companies before starting his own company and becoming a project manager. Grant is predeceased by his mother, Althea. Survivors include his father Grant (Barb), Oviedo; wife of 32 years, Sue; daughters Danielle, Asheville, NC, and Nicole (Ryan) Coello of Coral Springs; Sisters Elaine (Howard) Freeman, Englewood; Barb (Charlie) Lucas, Orlando; Allison (Pat) Donohoe, Schnecksville, PA. ; and a very close and loving network of extended family and friends. There will be a private memorial service. We ask that everyone who knew and loved Grant take some time to share a memory, a beer, and a hug with someone they love. Grant will be missed. Free Bird.
