Whiting Grace DiMartino - Grace "Nonie" DiMartino Whiting passed away on Friday February 22 2008 at the home of her daughter and caregiver. She fought a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Mrs. Whiting was born in Winsted CT on April 12 1924 and was the daughter of Michael DiMartino and Angelina Fasciano DiMartino. She was one of 11 children. Mrs. Whiting lived in Ormond Beach FL since 1980. Mrs. Whiting is survived by husband Alfred Whiting; two brothers Angelo DiMartino of Torrington CT and John DiMartino of Boyne City MI; her son Allan Whiting and his wife Debbie of Ormond Beach; her daughter Karen Whiting Roy and her husband Guilio Roy also of Ormond Beach; and her son Gary Whiting and his wife Laurie of Palm Coast. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Michelle Whiting Covelli and husband Phil Covelli Sam Whiting and wife Kelley Andy Whiting and wife Paige Harley Whiting and wife Ingrid Jayson Roy and wife Catherine Angela Roy Pinkerton and husband Lynn Pinkerton Bobbi-Jo Whiting West and husband Ken West Jamie Whiting and Matthew Whiting and wife Darlynn. In addition Mrs. Whiting is survived by 15 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. She will be remembered by her family as a loving caring mother and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Memorial services will be held on Saturday March 1 2008 at 11:00 am at Lohman's Funeral Home 733 West Granada Blvd Ormond Beach FL 32174.
