Grace Edith Ruggerio, 88, of Edgewater, Florida passed away Saturday, April 16th at her home following a short illness. Grace was born in San Diego, CA. on January 1st 1928 to Wilbur and Dorothy Matthews. She graduated from Oceanside Carlsbad High School in 1945 and married in 1946. Grace was a longtime and active member of the Elks Lodge along with her husband Peter and daughter Wanda.
Grace was a kind and caring lady and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. To all who knew her, she truly was "Amazing Grace" and will forever be dearly missed. Grace was predeceased by her parents, her 1st husband Peter and 2nd husband Loren Klein, her brothers Wilbur, Leo and Harold, her sister Jean Snow and her daughter Wanda. Those left behind to cherish Grace's memory include her sister, Dorothy Meade, son Peter Ruggerio, daughters Diana Merola and Gloria Serido, her 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held for Grace on Monday, April 25th at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona at 2pm, with a visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will take place at a later date in New Jersey.
