Grace Ilene Lawler, 87, of Seville, Florida passed away on February 10, 2025 in DeLand, Florida. She was born on April 14, 1937 to James Cleo and Lula Bell (Watson) Waters in Seville, Florida.

A visitation for Grace will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Seville, located at 1804 Church Street, Seville, Florida 32190. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Seville Cemetery Association.

Grace was an amazing mother to her three children, who fondly remember her as "just momma." She worked in the school cafeteria until she retired, devoting her life to helping children. She loved to sew, and she also loved to go fishing. Grace could take anything apart and fix it, which lead to her family affectionately referring to her as "Tom Newman," a well-known television repairman in the area. She was also a long standing member of the First Baptist Church of Seville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Cleo and Lula Bell (Watson) Waters; her husband, Bobby Lawler; her son, James Bennett; her daughter, Rose Gayhart; her brother, Newell Waters; her son-in-law, Brent Gayhart; and her sister-in-law, Sarah Waters.

Grace is survived by her son, George Bennett, and his wife, Candy; her six grandchildren; her brother, Corbett Waters, and his wife Irene; her nieces and nephews, Brenda, Kenny, and Vernon; as well as great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
