Gordon F. Lentz, 94, formerly of Ormond Beach, FL passed away April 9, 2015, after a long illness. Gordon was born in Baltimore, MD on June 15, 1920 to William and Marjorie Lentz, both deceased.
Gordon attended McDonough School (Class of '38) in Owings Mills, MD and continued his education at Lafayette College (Class of '42) in Easton, PA. Gordon was a Captain in the Army and was stationed in Miami Beach, FL during World War II. Gordon was an account by trade and had his own business while living in Richmond, VA. He enjoyed playing bridge and swimming. Gordon retired to Ormond Beach, FL in 1972, where he lived till 2010. At which time he moved to Arbor Terrace Assisted Living Facility at Crabapple in Alpharetta, GA, to be closer to his two sons.
He was predeceased by his brother and his two wives Martha Louise Webber and Mamie King Martin. Gordon is survived by his two sons George W. Lentz of Atlanta, GA and Robert G. Lentz of Ball Ground, GA; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach at 11:00am followed by interment at Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, FL.
