Gordon Lindsey Florence, Jr., 78, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away Friday, March 1, 2024.  He was born on April 24, 1945, in Washington, D.C.  He earned his Bachelor of Art in Music from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and went on to earn his Master of Arts from the University of Indiana.  Lindsey taught music and choir for 20 years in Fairfax County, Virginia where he directed an award-winning Choral program.  Lindsey was also Choral Director at the Bush Hill Presbyterian Church.  Upon retiring to Palm Coast, Florida he was a Founding Trustee of the Palm Coast Arts Foundation.  Outside of music Lindsey enjoyed cooking, but that's an art too!  He took pride in making an impact in his community.

Lindsey was preceded in death by his life partner, Roy Gordon Davis, and his parents, Gordon and Blanche Florence.  He is survived by his brother, Richard B. Florence; and extended family and friends.

Interment will be at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia.  The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, C/O John Subers, 60 Memorial Medical Pkwy., Palm Coast, Florida 32164.
