IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gloria T.
Williams
January 28, 1947 – July 4, 2025
Gloria Tyler Williams was born on January 28, 1947, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Bertha Tyler and Morris Finley. She was lovingly raised by her adoptive parents, the late Emma and Percy Jeffcoat, who nurtured her with unwavering care and guidance. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Priscilla Tyler Spriggs.
Throughout her life, Gloria called several cities home, including Miami, Florida, and Houston, Texas, but it was in Deltona, Florida, where she spent most of her years and built a life rich in love, family, and service.
Gloria's first job was at a local car-wash, a beginning that reflected her strong work ethic. She later worked at Jax's Liquors, where fate introduced her to the love of her life, Michael Williams. The two shared a devoted marriage that spanned 51 beautiful years. Through this union, Gloria became a cherished matriarch to a family that included three adult children, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday, a time when family and friends gathered to share food, laughter, and love.
A woman of deep faith, Gloria was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she served for many years on the usher board. Professionally, she served her community as a compassionate nurse with Seminole County Public Schools, where she touched countless lives with her care and kindness.
Gloria found joy in sewing, ceramics, and planning festive gatherings. She delighted and cherished her travels, especially to Hawaii, Spain, and Cancun. Her passion for exploration led her to establish her own successful business, Elite Travel Services, which served clients throughout Central Florida. Gloria Williams began her career with Mary Kay in the 1980s as an independent sales consultant. Her natural leadership skills, dedication, and passion for empowering others quickly propelled her to the position of Director where she built a successful team. In this role, she not only achieved personal success but also mentored and inspired countless others to build their own thriving businesses.
Among her proudest accomplishments, second only to her children—was co-founding the Elite Ladies Social Club in 2009 alongside her dear friend Mary Rogers. Based in Deltona, the club became a beacon of sisterhood and service, supporting numerous charitable causes across West Volusia County.
Gloria is survived by many who loved and admired her, including her devoted husband, Michael Williams; her daughter, Tiffany Green (Elic – deceased); her sons: Michael and Clifford; and her grandchildren: Travis, Faruq, Xavier, Zarkia, Michael D., Myzel, Arylean, Chancelor, and Prince. She also leaves behind her great[1]grandchildren: Isabella, Kalani, Aaliyah, and Camden. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces: Antonia Davis, Natasha Burnem, and Avian Burnem; and is predeceased by her nephew, Johnny White Jr. She is also remembered by her devoted daughter-in-law, Sheree.
With grace, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to family and community, Gloria leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished for generations.
