Gloria E. Colon, 88, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. She was born on September 22, 1937, in Manatí, Puerto Rico, to Diego Rodriguez and Adelida Perales.

Gloria lived a life defined by quiet strength, hard work, and deep devotion to her family. A loving and devoted mother, she found her greatest joy in caring for her home and those she loved. Her family was her proudest accomplishment, and her love for them was steady, nurturing, and unwavering. Gloria believed deeply in the importance of family connection and always encouraged her children to remain close to one another. After every phone call, she would lovingly remind them, "You are my four little grains of rice, and you should always stick together."

Throughout her life, Gloria consistently put others before herself. She welcomed neighbors and community members in need with open arms, offering help, kindness, and compassion wherever she could. Her life was a true reflection of service, humility, and generosity, and her quiet acts of love left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Gloria is survived by her beloved husband, Gabriel Colon; her children, Gabriel Colon and his wife Gina, Israel Colon and his wife Ada, Aracelis Adaros and her husband Jesus, and Daisy Ellis and her husband Andrew; and her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Colon, Gabriel Colon III, Justin Colon, Joel Colon, Leslye Adaros, Trevor Ellis, Lauren Ellis, and Jonathan Ellis.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Gloria's life on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lohman Funeral Home – DeLand Chapel, located at 935 East New York Avenue, DeLand, Florida 32724. Interment will follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
