As we announce the death of Glenn Smith of Edgewater Florida on May 5 2016, this is not a day to cry but a day to hold our heads high, to be proud to have known Glenn, to celebrate the life of a man who was sincerely loved by everyone that had the privilege to know him.
Glenn was born in Mt Morris, Michigan on August 4 1951. Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Alexander Smith, mother Lucile Smith and sister Marsha Krause. Glenn leaves behind a brother-in-law Jim Krause, 4 sons: Steven Smith, Scott Smith, Matthew Smith and Arthur Nagy, as well as six grandchildren: Dakota Smith, Phoenix Smith, Alex Smith Jessica Smith, Mikayla Smith and Gavin Nagy, who will miss him deeply.
He dedicated his life to public service as the drainage utility's Foreman for the city of Port Orange, Fllorida for over 20 years, and was a merchant marine in his younger days. He was an avid painter, fisherman, and loved baseball as if he invented the game.
Glenn's memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2016 at 6pm at Lohman Funeral Home at 1201 Dunlawton Port Orange Florida, with a gathering of family and friends from 4:00 PM till the time of the service.
