Glen C. McCarty 87 born February 13 1923 in Allen Michigan was ushered into the presence of God on January 2 2011. Preceded in death by his wife Jeanne of 63 years. A service to celebrate his life will be held at First Baptist Church Daytona Beach at 10:00am on Monday January 10 2011. Visitors are welcome one hour prior to service. Glen was a retired tool and dye maker from General Motors. After retirement he and his wife moved from Royal Oak Michigan and served as missionaries at Scripture Memory Mountain Mission in Emmalena Kentucky. They later moved to S. Daytona Beach where he was a member. He was involved in a calling program for elderly shut-ins in his church and also worked with ""meals on wheels"" for a while. Glen is survived by his five children: William (Dee) McCarty David (LeLane) McCarty Sharon (Phil) Mollencopf Daniel (Terri) McCarty and Kathleen McCarty. He was Grandfather to nine grandchildren 14 great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren.
