Gladys "Bobbie" White 76 passed away May 5 2012. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday May 15 2012 at 3:30 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave Port Orange FL 32127. Bobbie's family will receive guests at 2:00 P.M. Bobbie moved to Daytona Beach FL in the 1950's from Mount Airy North Carolina and relocated to Palm Bay FL in the 1980's. She was a volunteer for "seniors at lunch" and received volunteer of the year award during her service. She was known for her compassionate personality and acted as a caregiver to many. She enjoyed watching her favorite baseball teams Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins whenever she could. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving son Newton "Skip" White his wife Karen brother in law Hans Waldenstrom niece Susan Waldenstrom niece Karla and her husband Timm Strand. She is predeceased by her sisters Mary Waldenstrom and Sara White. The family also wishes to thank the skilled and compassionate staff and volunteers at Port Orange Nursing and Rehab Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Port Orange and Dr. Raul Zimmerman.
