A Celebration of Life for Gladys Mae Skidmore 90 of Bishops Glen Holly Hill who passed away on Wednesday October 31 2007 at Bishops Glen will be held on Monday November 5 2007 at 10 AM at Bishops Glen Chapel with Rev. William Ebbert officiating. Surviving her are a son David W. Skidmore Falls Church VA a daughter Linda J. Skidmore Port Orange and a granddaughter Emily Skidmore Falls Church VA. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years. Gladys was born February 8 1917 in Philadelphia PA the daughter of Walter and Christine Wilson Focht. Gladys graduated from Olney High School in Philadelphia where she led the girl's basketball team to the city championship in 1934. She married David Skidmore in 1942. Gladys was a homemaker and mother. She also worked selling Avon Products for a period. Gladys was very athletic enjoying golf bowling bridge cooking and socializing with her friends.
