Gladys V. Montañez, 83, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August  14, 2019.  Gladys was born on February 3, 1936 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Florencio Gonzalez and Esperanza Yon.  Her interests in life included gardening, crochet, dancing, and listening to her favorite music.  Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Rafael N. Montañez, her daughter Elizabeth Montañez Koss of Sterling, Virginia, her son Nick Montañez of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, nine grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated at noon on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 West Granada Boulevard, in Ormond Beach.  Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon, prior to the service.  Contributions may be made in Gladys' name to The American Heart Association.  Arrangements are under care of Lohman Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.  Condolences and memories are welcome to be shared with Gladys' family via this online guestbook.
