Gladys Eleanor (Nee, Johnson) Clark, 91, passed peacefully at her home in Jacksonville, Florida on Wednesday June 19, 2019.  She was born on October 6, 1927 in Manhattan, New York to the late Arnold and Otillie (Nee, Olsson) Johnson.  Gladys worked in banking in Smithtown, New York before retiring to Palm Coast, Florida where she made many friends.  She later moved to Jacksonville to be closer to her family.  She always enjoyed reading, playing bridge and other card games.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Barbara Laidman (Stephen) and daughter-in-law, Roberta Clark.  She was a loving grandmother to Kurt, Craig (Kimberly) and Keith Laidman, Megan, Ryan, Grace and Tessa Clark; and great-grandmother to Mikayla and Alyssa Asble, Abigail and Rachel Clark, Jarod and Ashlyn Laidman, Mackenzie and Skylar Sprague and Peyton Hutson.

Gladys is welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, Charlton;  sons, Richard (Susan) and Stephen Clark;  granddaughters, Kathryn Asble and Nicole Sprague; and her parents, Otillie and Arnold Johnson.

The Family wishes to thank the caregivers at Camellia at Deerwood and the wonderful nurses and staff of Vitas Hospice for all their love and support.
