Gisela Parsons Hoyt, age 96, of Mayo, Florida, and formerly of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.

She was born in Germany to the late Hans and Christina Daniel. Gisela was first married to Jack L. Parsons, with whom she lovingly raised three children. He preceded her in death in 2002. She later married John Hoyt, who also preceded her in death in 2015.

Gisela is survived by her three children: John Parsons and his wife, Stephanie Parsons, of Live Oak, Florida; Christine Meier and her husband, Ed Meier, of Greenville, Florida; and Madeleine Zaborowski and her husband, Don Zaborowski, of Maryville, Tennessee. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will honor Gisela's wishes for cremation, with her urn to be placed at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
