Giannino B. Alberti, February 20 th , 1924 – January 24 th , 2018

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Giannino B. Alberti must inform that he passed away peacefully in Halifax Health Hospice Care of Port Orange, FL.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann Marie Grasser Alberti, his daughter Patrizia Alberti Santini of Milan, Italy, his son-in-law, Umberto Santini and two Grandsons, Luca & Marco Santini, all of Milan, Italy. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, John B. Grasser and his niece Suzanne Grasser Trapp, her husband Paul and their sons, Brandon & Ryan Trapp. Giannino was born in Venice, Italy.  After World War II he immigrated to Brazil, where he met his wife Ann. They resided in Rio de Janeiro for several years until moving to Florida.  Giannino was an Electrical Engineer and worked for many years in Daytona Beach for the firm, "Russell and Rxon Engineers Planners and Architects" at that time located on Mason Ave., during the 1980's. Upon his retirement, he opened his own practice, "Electrical Engineering Consultants, Inc., in Daytona Beach and worked on several projects in the area. One of which was the Regional Oncology Center at Halifax Hospital Medical Center, in conjunction with William Faust A1A Architect.  The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, in 1981 awarded him a Lighting Design Special Citation for Kennedy Space Center Vertical Assembly Bldg. Project.  Giannino and his wife Ann moved to their present home in Port Orange in 1991. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Halifax Health Hospice "team" for all the T.L.C. shown to us and to our loved one.
