THOMAS GERTRUDE BANIK - Gertrude Banik Thomas 75 of Port Orange passed away on Saturday afternoon May 29th 2010 at Halifax Health Medical Center - Port Orange. She was laid to rest beside her husband USAF Retired Master Sergeant RC Thomas on Wednesday June 2nd 2010 1:00 pm at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell. The daughter of Fritz and Helen Huse Banik Mrs. Thomas was born and raised in West Texas a suburb of Waco and graduated from Shaw High School. The Thomas' lived in Panama City FL from 1972 until 2008 when they moved to Port Orange. She enjoyed cooking gardening and bowling. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Panama City Eastern Star and the Crescent Club of Shaddai Temple. She is survived by her son Dr. Ronald C. Thomas Jr. of Port Orange.
