Gertrude E. Miller 92 passed away Friday April 15 2011. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday April 19 2011 at the Deland Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Deland Memorial Gardens in Deland.

Gertrude was born June 27 1918 to Mary Alice (Cripe) and Melvin E. Dunafin. On October 31 1935 she married Kenneth V. Miller who passed away on October 19 2000. She also had a son Perry V. Miller who preceded her in death on February 18 2002. Also preceding her in death were three sisters Violette (Young) Niece Margaret (Dunafin) Keller Lila Dunafin and a brother Irvin Dunafin.

She is survived by her sister Irene (Dunafin) Sprunger her daughter-in law Sarah Miller her daughter and son-in law Shirley and Donald Russell three grandchildren; Jeffrey (Lori) Russell Debra (Bob) Russell Corum Gregory Russell and four great-grandchildren; Jennifer Russell Audrey Russell Danielle Brennan and Wyatt Olson.

Gertie worked for Smoler's Dress Factory in Elkhart IN. for many years. Upon retiring she and her husband moved to their home at Wetmore Lake in Allegon MI. Twenty-six years ago they moved to Hidden Valley Park in DeLeon Springs FL. She attended Deland Church of the Nazarene where she practiced her faith and love of the Lord.

In April of 2010 she moved to Niles MI. to live with her daughter and son-in law. She was very much loved by all who met her and will be deeply missed.
