Gerry L. Garshaw, 89, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. She was born on July 23, 1935, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Ray and Gwen Kirk.

Gerry was a devoted homemaker and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was lovingly united in marriage to Bruce Garshaw on November 6, 2010. She attended Marshall University for two years before dedicating her life to her home and family.

A faithful member of Riverbend Community Church, Gerry found great joy and purpose in being part of Sarah's Circle—a ministry of women devoted to Christian fellowship, service, and encouragement. Inspired by Romans 12:10–13, the group gathers monthly for prayer, fellowship, and outreach, serving both the church and the wider community. Gerry especially cherished the friendships and spiritual support she found among these women.

She loved traveling, spending time with family and friends, and playing golf in her younger years.

Gerry is survived by her loving daughter, Susan L. Henderson (David Henderson); and grandchildren, Morgan K. Long and K. Tyler Long. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ray H. Kirk.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Riverbend Community Church, 2080 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, officiated by Pastor Jerry Schaeffer. A luncheon will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerry's memory to Riverbend Community Church.

Gerry's faith, warmth, and gentle spirit touched many lives. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
