Germaine Rose Del Ponte age 83 passed away at Grand Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Palm Coast on Wednesday August 23 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday August 26 2006 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. A Memorial led by Pastor Bruce from Church of the Rock will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday August 25th with calling hours continuing until 3:00 p.m. and again from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be after the Mass at Volusia Memorial Park. Germaine was born in Gennevilliers France on January 28 1923. She worked in the cafes that her family owned in the Paris suburb. In 1944 she became a wartime bride and married Albert Del Ponte. In 1945 they came to the U.S. settling in New York. Albert passed away in 1983 and in 1987 Germaine moved to Palm Coast. She was a long-time Catholic and member of Mother Seton Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Rose J.husband Bob Bodey; and son Frank Albert wife Sarah Del Ponte; grandchildren Frank Del Ponte Jr. Leo Fabrion & John Duford and many nieces & nephews.
