Gerard "Jerry" O'Brien 68 of Ormond Beach FL passed away on February 21 2012 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Daytona Beach FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 25th at 11:00 am at St. Brendan Catholic Church Ormond Beach. Jerry began his career as an airline mechanic with Pan American Airlines and completed his career as an inspector with Com-Air which was acquired by Delta Airlines. He relocated to Flagler County from L.I. NY in 1994 and then decided to call Ormond his home in 1996. He was a parishioner at St. Brendan Catholic Church and a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. Jerry also served his country in the US Navy. He enjoyed lounging in his pool watching TV working around the house and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband and a great Dad. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Irene "Renee" O'Brien Ormond Beach his four sons Ken (Maureen) O'Brien Daytona Beach Keith (Linda) O'Brien Bethlehem PA Kurt O'Brien Palm Coast FL and Michael O'Brien Daytona Beach as well as his three grandchildren Conor James and Aidan.
