Gerald "Jerry" Chandler Sr. passed away Friday, November 22nd surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who supported his family and others unconditionally.

In 1960 Gerald "Jerry" Chandler Sr. left Charleston, West Virginia with his family to start a career as a biology teacher and Assistant Basketball Coach at Seabreeze High School. Over the next 60 years Jerry Chandler held many titles Coach, Teacher, Athletic Director, Mentor, Snack guy, money man, Mr. Seabreeze, and so many more.

Coach Chandler was a man of exceptional character and perseverance and he inspired so many of his athletes, Coaches, and friends over the years. He touched so many lives, made so many friends, and lived a very full and happy life. Seabreeze High School, Athletics, and giving back to "the kids" was Coach Chandler's life work. In leui of flowers we would like to carry on his legacy by creating the "Coach Chandler – Seabreeze High School Athletic Fund."

Your generous donations will be used to help cover expenses for the Seabreeze High School Athletic Program. This fund will support male and female student-athletes from all sports. Each year these funds will be used for things like transportation, equipment, facilities, & assistance for student-athletes without the means to participate. Thank you for helping his legacy live on!
