A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for George R. Woodhull 77 of Ormond Beach FL who passed away at Florida Hospital-Ormond on September 10 2007 will be held at 10:00am Saturday September 15 2007 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Born on January 20 1930 in Brooklyn NY to George A. & Mary Woodhull George moved to the area in 1991 from Madison CT. He retired from the General Service Administration as Director of Data Systems Division of the US Government Northeast Division. He was also the former director of Data Processing at the University of Connecticut Storrs CT. Mr. Woodhull was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp as a Korean War Veteran and he was a recipient of two Purple Heart Medals. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Korean Veterans Association. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Meisheid. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years Rita S. of Ormond Beach; his sons: George A. and his wife Joyce of Ft. Meyers & Paul A. and his wife Amy of Washington D.C.; his daughters: Linda and her husband Robert Plankey of Columbia CT & Rena and her husband David Banducci of Cornelius NC along with thirteen grandchildren: Marissa Steven and his wife Liz Woodhull Michael Alden Andrew Matthew Emily & Elizabeth Woodhull Kristine Sean & Katie Plankey and Ava & GG Banducci.
