Funeral Service for Rev. George W. Orth 98 passed away Saturday August 5 2006 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home Daytona Beach FL Will be held Thursday at 10 AM at Grace Lutheran Church Ormond Beach with Rev. Virginia Barnes Pastor officiating. He was born February 21 1908 in Sebringville Ontario Canada and has been a resident of this area since 1975. He graduated from High School in Kitchner Ontario Canada and graduated from Waterloo University Ontario Canada with a degree in Theology and Waterloo Theological Seminary. Rev. Orth served as pastor at several Lutheran Churches including Guelph Lutheran Mildmay and Desboro Lutheran Walkerton Lutheran all in Ontario Canada Atonement Lutheron Buffalo NY First English Lutheran South Haven MI and St. Timothy Oak Park MI from where he retired. He was a faithful member of the Grace Lutheran Church and a former member of The Ormond Beach Lions Club. He traveled in many circles and to various places to discover all this world has to offer. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marie L. Orth. George is survived by his Son David C. and wife Carolyn Orth Royal Oak MI 2 Grandsons and wives James and Colleen Orth Rodney and Karie Ann Orth 2 Great Grandchildren Gregory and Jacalyn.He was predeceased by a brother and 5 sisters.
