George Allen Hoyt, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Adele Vickery Hoyt and Raymond H. Hoyt on August 23, 1935 in Stamford, CT. He is recently predeceased by his brother Richard Hoyt, of McCormick, SC.

He graduated from Stamford HS in 1953. After high school he pursued his interest in electronics by attending RCA Institutes in NYC. He also joined the Air Force Reserves.

George had a long career with Pan American Airways where he applied these skills and worked his way up from radio technician to a communications specialist. He retired from Pan Am after 35 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Katherine Hoyt, his five children and stepchildren, Kenneth (Sally) Schlegel of Palm Coast, FL, Christine (Warren) Smith of Swanzey, NH, Diane (Vincent) Annetta of Palm Coast, FL, Raymond (Fran) Hoyt of Seymour, CT, and George (Linda) Hoyt of Danbury, CT. He was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. All his family will miss him greatly.
