George R. Hallett. age 80 of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 22 2010. A Memorial Service is being held at Port Orange Presbyterian Church on Saturday June 26 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Rev Calvin Gittner presiding.
George was born in California and moved to Daytona where he worked with the Daytona News Journal for over 30 years.
He loved being with his family and friends and enjoyed collecting Dragons and watching the Dallas Cowboys as well as watching old movies. He was a joy to know and will never be forgotten. He shall be greatly missed by his family and friends. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife Barbara Hallett three sons Richard Hallett Dirk Hallett and Eric Hallett two daughters Debbie Dunlap and Michelle Witz and two step-daughters Tamara Gentile and Angela Lindquist. George was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather as well.
