George Dwight Drummond was called home on July 4, 2015. He was born October 31, 1938 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Dan and Frances Mullins Drummond.

He was a graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, and attended High Point College. He served two tours in the Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church Daytona Beach, where he was a member of the choir and a Senior Adult Life Group. His hobby was restoring British Sports cars and attending car shows. His favorite was a 1963 XKE Jaguar.

He was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed, but we know he is with Jesus singing with the heavenly choir. He is survived by his wife, Martha Robinson Drummond; a daughter, Da-Lee Callaway of Vancouver, Washington; a son, Dwayne Drummond of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Cameron Callaway, Brendon Callaway, Isaac Drummond and Leah Drummond; three brothers, David Drummond, Douglas Drummond, Don Drummond; and one sister, Diane Tonge. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel Drummond.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Avenue. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, 118 N Palmetto Ave. Burial will be in Winston-Salem, N.C. at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Halifax Hospice Care Center of Port Orange.
