George E. Cooper Sr. passed away peacefully in Crescent City Florida on November 15 2010 at the age of 83. A Memorial Service in George's honor will be held at a later date at the South Florida Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Lake Worth Florida. George was born in Daytona Beach FL on February 22 1927 son to William Hawkins Cooper and Elizabeth (Ehney) Cooper. George is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Mary (Noles) Cooper of Pierson FL; his daughter Susan (husband Marvin) Bottom of Pierson FL; son George E. Cooper Jr. of West Palm Beach FL; and his 3-grandchildren Stephen Cooper of Pierson Fl Courtney Cooper & Wade Cooper of West Palm Beach FL. George attended the Holly Hill Elementary School and then joined the United States Marine Corp. He later developed the skills of an auto glass installer. He met his wife Mary in Dade County FL then moved to Pompano Beach FL where they raised their family and enjoyed square dancing with close friends. He was deeply involved in the Boy Scouts of America and a member of the American Legion. His favorite pastime was fishing at the pond in his backyard with he loyal cat Sheba by his side.
