Memorial services for George C. Bloesch 80 of Ormond Beach FL. will be held at the convenience of his family at a later date. George died Wednesday December 20 2006 at Florida Memorial Hospital Ormond. Surviving him are his Wife Harriet Ormond Beach a Son George and wife Wilma Bloesch Spring TX 2 Daughters Lois and Husband Paul Bodnar Port Orange Jane and Husband Bob Chambers Morris Plains NJ 4 Grandchildren Michael Bloesch Alex Bloesch Kyle Bodnar Carly Bodnar and a Sister Sophie Salacan. He was predeceased by a Son Joseph. George was born August 11 1926 in North Bergen NJ the Son of Fredrick and Margaret Cole Bloesch. He married Harriet Steinel May 5 1951. He served in the US Navy during WW II. He retired from Becton-Dickinson after 15 years of service then was employed with Datascope Corp. for another 15 years retiring in 1989 as Director of Quality Assurance. After retirement he resided in Wilmington NC for 12 years where he founded the Wilmington Prostate Cancer Support Group and was actively involved for 10 years.
