George N. Bates 87 of Palm Coast passed away Sunday Nov. 23. Visitation will be held Mon. Dec. 1 at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Palm Coast with the Funeral Service to be held at noon. He and his late wife Blanche of 16 years moved to Palm Coast from Ft. Lauderdale in 2002. George served in the Navy during WWII after which time he went on to become a supervisor with Southern Bell. He is survived by his daughter Marilyn (Arthur) Forrest of Mauldin S.C. and sons Dan of N.Y.C. and Gary of Switzerland Fl. grandchildren Dr. William Gitchell Maylee Smith and Misha Raezer and great grandchildren Thomas Tyler Casi and Madison.
