George H. Barrett 80 of Ponce Inlet passed away March 5 2007 at the Heath Care Center of Daytona Beach.

Mr. Barrett was born April 3 1926 in Nova Scotia Canada. He served in the Canadian military during World War II. Moving to Los Angeles CA George had been a supervisor of International Harvest Corp. Glendale CA from 1960 until retirement in 1983. In 1988 George moved to Ponce Inlet FL.
Mr. Barrett interests included camping and traveling. He especially loved traveling up and down the coast of Nova Scotia.

Those who will loving remember George include his wife of 62 years Ruth; two daughters Paulette Barrett-Matson and her husband Henry of Long Beach CA and Deborah Barrett-Hess and her husband Bruce of Bakersfield CA; a brother Fred Barrett of Irvine CA; a sister Greta Leadbetter of Nova Scotia Canada; two grandchildren Holly and Brandon Hess of Bakersfield CA.
