Genevieve "Ginette" Ascik of Holly Hill FL died peacefully on Wednesday January 30 2013 at Florida Hospital Hospice Care Daytona Beach FL.

Visitation with a rosary service will be held on Saturday February 2nd beginning at 11:30 am followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 S. Nova Road Ormond Beach.

Ginette was a homemaker and an independent owner of two Baskin Robbins in Alabama and Hallmark stores in Pensacola FL. She was a loving mother and was grateful for the constant love of Jesus. She was born January 25 1923 in Montreal Quebec Canada to Rene and Annette (Pauze) Faribault. It was in Montreal where she met and married the love of her life Anthony Ascik a Polish WW II Army Veteran.

Ginette was an parishioner at Prince of Peace Catholic Church as well as an active parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pensacola where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector. She was a volunteer with Hospice and was an avid reader.

Genevieve is survived by her sons Thomas (Karen) Ascik Asheville NC Michael (Nana) Ascik Aurora CO Mark (Missy) Ascik Ormond Beach and Steve (Alisa) Ascik Ormond Beach by her daughter Elizabeth (Andrew) Suszko Ormond Beach eighteen grandchildren Philip Rubin Mary Katherine Ascik Elizabeth Ascik McGuirk Peter Ascik Gregory Ascik Daniel Ascik John Ascik Christine Ascik Julie Ascik Emily Ascik Karen Suszko Schwartz Drew Suszko David Suszko William Yuki Ascik Mark Ascik Jr. David Ascik Caroline Ascik and Carly Ascik as well as by three great-grandchildren Grace Helen and Peter McGuirk. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Anthony Ascik a daughter Yanina Rubin three brothers Marcel Faribault Fr. Bernard Faribault and Fr. Francois Faribault and by two sisters Andree Poirer and Madeline Gagnon.
