Gary Scheirer, 71, of N. Syracuse, Clay NY, and Daytona Beach passed peacefully without pain on January 11th, 2022. Son of Ted and Harriett Scheirer, and Husband of Rita, Gary lived a great life raising beautiful daughters Tammi (spouse Anthony Nuzzo) and Tracy Keeling and sons Jim, Karl and Jesse (spouse Shasta Lantz). He was so very proud of granddaughters Jennifer and Jessica (spouse Shane Roach), Leahana Keeling, Angie Nuzzo, Rylie and Taryn Lantz, and great-grandson Carter. Add to all those good souls Gary's brothers Larry (spouse Rose), Jerry (spouse Paula), Terry (spouse Cindy), and sister Doris.

Chief Scheirer served 34 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard and earned a Bronze Star during the 1st Gulf War where he was the Superintendent of Personnel at Al Kharj Air Base, Saudi Arabia. More favorite facets of Chief's life included sports (NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys) and his extended family and friends in the motorcycle world. These all added to a rich and full life.

A funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, Dayton Beach will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, then a biker escort to where some dear friends are hosting a Viking/Biker Wake. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Veteran organization of your choice.
