It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary S. Mazurak, Sr. on April 12, 2025 at the age of 63.

Gary was born on October 29, 1961 at United Hospital in Port Chester, New York, to the late William and Jean (Washburn) Mazurak, Sr. He was raised in Greenwich, Connecticut and graduated from Greenwich High School. Gary also attended Bullard-Havens Technical school  for plumbing and heating in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He worked with his father for Edward F. Mazurak Plumbing and Heating, Inc., a company started by his grandfather. He was a member of Local Union 777 for over 40 years. He retired and moved to Florida in 2016.

Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved motorcycles, cars, and dogs - especially his dog Minnie. He was extremely handy, and had many friends who will remember him as being someone who was always helping people.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Leigh (Stawicki) Mazurak of Deltona, Florida; his children, Gary Mazurak, Jr. of Stamford, Connecticut, Steven Mazurak of Deltona, Florida, Jessica (Mazurak) Span and her husband Peter Span of Trumbull, Connecticut, and Jaime Allen and her family of Charleston, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Jayden and Jordan Span; his siblings Linda Mazurak of Plainfield, Connecticut, and Bill Mazurak of Greenwich, Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Debra Piper.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at the Glenville Polish Club (30 Greenway Drive, Greenwich, Connecticut 06831).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA in Gary's memory.
